Does Surgery Hurt?

Every surgical procedure is associated with some incision. There is huge variability in patient’s pain tolerance. Some patients experience very little pain, whilst others have a significant amount of pain. Regardless of your pain tolerance, our anaesthetist will ensure that appropriate pain killers are charted. A customised medication regime will be written for you.

When can I drive?

After any surgical procedure we recommend you liaise with your insurance company prior to recommencing driving. There are varying waiting periods, depending on the procedure you underwent and your insurance company.

Who can I contact if I have concerns regarding my procedure?

During business hours, please contact the rooms who will be the first point of contact. The staff will liaise with Dr Mark Magdy to ensure all your concerns are addressed.

How much will my procedure cost?

There are significant costs associated with surgical procedures. Complete informed financial consent will be discussed before any procedure is performed. The informed financial consent will detail the costs involved and you will be required to sign this consent prior to undergoing surgery.

Are there complications/risks associated with surgery?

Every surgical procedure carries a potential risk. Prior to undergoing any surgical procedure, the risks, benefits and alternatives will be discussed in detail. All questions will be answered in relation to the procedure.
